日本にコンテンポラリージュエリーの文化基盤を
本プログラムは、日本国内の美術館にコンテンポラリージュエリーのコレクションを形成し、この分野の文化的基盤を築くことを目的とした寄贈プロジェクトです。
コンテンポラリージュエリーは、装身具としての機能を超え、身体・社会・素材・価値といったテーマを探求する現代美術の重要な領域として、欧米では美術館のコレクションや研究の対象となっています。
しかし、日本ではこの分野を体系的に収蔵・研究する美術館コレクションはまだ十分に整備されておらず、文化的アーカイブの形成が大きな課題となっています。
本プログラムは、アーティスト、支援者、美術館が連携し、将来に残る文化資産としてコンテンポラリージュエリー作品を美術館へ寄贈する仕組みを構築することで、日本におけるこの分野の拠点形成を目指しています。
プログラムの仕組み
本プログラムでは、コンテンポラリージュエリーの収蔵を希望する美術館と、文化支援に関心を持つ企業・個人の支援者をつなぎ、作品の購入および寄贈を実現します。
支援者によって寄贈された作品は、「〇〇コレクション」として美術館に収蔵されます。
コレクション名には企業名または個人名を冠することができ、文化支援の成果として美術館のコレクションに長期的に記録されます。
文化的レガシー
寄贈された作品は、美術館のコレクションとして保存され、将来にわたり日本の文化資産の一部となります。
また、コレクション作品は以下の用途で活用される可能性があります。
・美術館の展覧会での展示
・図録や出版物への掲載
・学術研究および教育プログラム
・将来のコレクション研究
これにより、寄贈された作品は単なる個人所有の作品ではなく、日本の現代文化を記録する公共的アーカイブとして機能します。

Contemporary Jewelry Museum Donation Program
Building a Cultural Foundation for Contemporary Jewelry in Japan
This program aims to establish a museum collection of contemporary jewelry in Japan and to build a lasting cultural foundation for this field.
Contemporary jewelry has developed internationally as an important artistic practice that extends beyond bodily adornment to explore themes such as materiality, the body, social systems, and the construction of value. In Europe and North America, museums actively collect and research contemporary jewelry as part of their contemporary art collections.
In Japan, however, systematic museum collections dedicated to contemporary jewelry are still limited, and the cultural infrastructure necessary to preserve and study this field remains underdeveloped.
This program seeks to address this situation by creating a framework through which artists, supporters, and museums can collaborate to establish museum collections of contemporary jewelry as lasting cultural assets.
Program Structure
The program connects museums interested in collecting contemporary jewelry with corporate and individual supporters who wish to contribute to cultural initiatives.
Through this initiative, selected works are acquired and donated to participating museums.
Donated works will be incorporated into the museum collection under a named collection, such as:
“[Name] Contemporary Jewelry Collection.”
The name of the supporting company or individual can be associated with the collection, allowing the contribution to be recognized as part of the museum’s permanent cultural record.
Cultural Legacy
Works donated through this program will become part of a museum’s permanent collection and will be preserved as cultural assets for future generations.
The collection may also be used for:
・museum exhibitions
・publications and catalogues
・academic research
・educational programs and curatorial studies
In this way, donated works function not only as individual artworks but also as part of a public cultural archive documenting the development of contemporary jewelry.
Building the First Contemporary Jewelry Hub in Japan
This initiative is conceived as a long-term effort to establish the first cultural hub for contemporary jewelry in Japan.
By bringing together artists, supporters, and museums, the program aims to: strengthen the cultural recognition of contemporary jewelry in Japan / establish museum collections dedicated to the field / create a foundation for future research and education
Through these efforts, the project seeks to contribute to the sustainable development of contemporary jewelry as an artistic discipline.
